Let's start with summary of this story:
A little chameleon is distressed that he doesn't have a color of his own like other animals. He is very sad because he cannot move around without changing colour. Because he wants to have a color of his own so badly, he finds the greenest leaf and decides to stay there forever. This works until the seasons start to change, and the leaf turns to yellow and then to red. Finally, he finds another chameleon who suggests that they travel together and they set off on a new life of adventure.

This book talks about the color of other animals and how they are all different. It is important that all children know that they are loved, even if they are different, and that they know that it is okay to be different. You do not have to be like everyone else to be happy!

It talks about friendship too, and shows how other people can help you get through difficult times.

A great book about accepting yourself, friendship and art.

 

一本很有意思的绘本。故事讲述一只困扰没有自己的颜色的变色龙如何去寻找自己的颜色。虽然最后还是没办法拥有固定的颜色，可是它遇到了另一只变色龙。那只变色龙陪同它一起到处走动，那么它们就永远拥有一样的颜色啦！

 

很有意义的一本书。故事教导孩子们该如何接受自己的特色。当然还有友爱的可贵。通过这个故事可以间接的介绍颜色给孩子，以下我们进行的活动。

可以用透明塑料卡来画出变色龙，然后裁剪出来。

My very colorful table calendar is another good tool to use for this book activity.
恰好我有一个颜色很丰富鲜艳的月历，那么就拿出来一起使用吧！你看到变色龙藏在哪里吗？

找颜色游戏：妈妈说出，变色龙现在藏身于“XX"颜色中，然后晨就在游戏范围内寻找妈妈说的颜色，然后放上变色龙。

Book Activities/绘本活动 : Chicka Chicka ABC

A simple and nice book to introduce ABC to your lil one. The alphabets in the content are in Uppercase while the illustration are in Lowercase, toddlers are exposed to both ofthe uppercase & lowercase letter at the same time. For me, this is another good book to expose your toddlers to ABC. And i build a simple coconut tree by using Duplo set together with small size magnetic alphabet magnet, then started our interactive book activities.

这本书的内容是挺童趣的，是描述字母们一个接一个的爬上椰树，然后当中不懂重复，Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! Will there be enough room?每次听到这句大家都好担心字母会掉下。其实仔细观察，书的内容上的字母都是大写的，同页的插图内的字母则是小写的。作者Bill Martin Jr 和 John Archambault 其实很用心的穿插了大小写配对于书内。个人觉得是本介绍字母的好书。 :) 然后利用我手上有的乐高积木和磁铁迷你字母，我们进行了简单绘本活动。

妈妈念绘本的同时让晨拿出磁铁字母来和绘本上的字母进行配对。

 

And time to have pretend play with this lil gal, we let those alphabet to climb up to the top of our coconut tree.

Try to balance the alphabet on the top of coconut tree. And who make those alphabet falling down from the coconut tree will be tickled!
 之后就来演一下字母爬上椰子树的戏码。谁先将成堆的字母弄掉就被瘙痒!就这样也玩了好久～:)
